Another quirk of working for a foreign company, while remaining based in Malaysia, is that I could not be enrolled in their current corporate #insurance - and when the company tries to set up a new corporate insurance with the same insurance provider (#AIA in this case) in Malaysia, they couldn't bcos they require a registered entity in Malaysia. So now, my only option is prolly to get a private/personal insurance, of which my employers would pay for - tho I'm not certain if such insurance would have the same benefits as a corporate one (e.g. covers clinic visits, etc.) :(
