After decades of artistic liberties, folk singer Buffy Sainte-Marie' admits she is not #Canadian and her #Polaris music prize was revoked.

While long swirling rumors of native ancestry go unchecked , it has been investigated that the octogenarian folk music artist had no genetic ties to indigenous tribal ancestry.
