What if there were an application bundle of various #Fediverse services, bundled together with a central application called “ActivityPubHub” ?
#ActivityPubHub would be a proxy for all Fedi applications that you wish to self-host. All Fedi applications would talk to ActivityPubHub, and it alone would talk to the Internet.
It would centralize the configuration and monitoring of all Fedi applications you host.
It could assign subdomains to each application.
Example: If my host is glue.earth , then I could have subdomains:
+ mastodon.glue.earth
+ pixelfed.glue.earth
+ funkwhale.glue.earth
+ friendica.glue.earth
+ writefreely.glue.earth
etc.All administered through activitypubhub.glue.earth

All this hubbub about #ActivityPub is great to see, but will we need an #ActivityPubHub to help with scale? 😋
