Honestly, the SFC dropped the ball for Fedicon.

There has been one trans fem queer speaker I've seen, but plenty of men. Why aren’t the Akkoma people here? Or Sharkey people here? Or the women and enbies who also have contributed to the Fediverse?

This entire thing has reiterated “the Fediverse belongs to all of us” whilst showing the people in charge of most of the major pieces are overwhelmingly straight men, many of whom are libertarian “force Facebook onto the Fediverse” types. I do not believe this reflects the majoritarian view on the Fediverse.

@conservancy — please do better next year at bringing in more voices from the Fediverse, if you’re going to purport to have a conference about the Fediverse it needs to include more than a male cross-section.
