Night, Near Midnight
This Geranium Lake Properties comic was considered for the sixth day of the Eleven Monsters Holiday but it did not quite fit our criteria for the Red Beast theme. It was red enough, but it was not impeccably beastly. This panel was originally part of a series Yost made to illustrate the Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Edition of Six Tales from the Glorious Assemblage of Haberdashers by Abby Ashier Chertsey. The third tale in that book ("The Rust-Stained Jug") is about a man named Mike Frick, aka the King of Millers. Mike is neither a king nor a miller; he inherited his title from his father, who was also not a king nor a miller. Mike comes from a long line of men who were known as the Kings of the Mills, yet none of them were kings and not one of them was a miller. Yost borrowed this character with Chertsey's permission, and put Mike Frick the King of Millers into a short story titled "The Fine and Deadly Difference between Zossiyan and Znayossion Yogurts". A Dozen Pages, Part 1 [ZINE]
Today we are posting the first part of a 12-page addition to last year's zine project, Intrepid Spirits/The Book of Clea and Enoch. Some of you might recognize these pages, some of you will not. Most of the "viewers"1 of these pages will have no clue, because most of them are unreal, unalive machine programs laboring under the hysterical pretensions of the Most Wretched Masters of Industry Ever. Qualms of Punctual Reincarnation
Today is the last day in our eleven-day celebration of the Eleven Monsters Holiday. We hope you enjoyed our retreat into the ancient hinterland of Geranium Lake Properties. Today is also the opening day of Ghost Month. If you wish, you can still download and print this image of Tilkeedu from last year's observance of an Inultaru tradition for Ghost Eve. Or you might want to refresh your memory about the concept of “common wrongness” from the Kurrotamohl Tea-drinkers.https://vraic.wordpress.com/2026/08/13/qualms-of-punctual-reincarnation/

Homage and Memory
Today we making the penultimate (yep I love that word way too much) post in our celebration of the Eleven Monsters Holiday. Our theme for this Geranium Lake Properties retrospective has been "The Red Beast", a theme chosen with no input from the Ta Gosan Jacin. I do not expect or even hope they are aware of our little tribute for 2026. -

If you wish to read (or review) information about the Monster Club, this post from last year can function as your gateway to what little I know about that fellowship. In this profoundly calamitous year of 2026, we are observing the Eleven Monsters Holiday of the Ta Gosan Jacin with a retrospective of eleven Geranium Lake Properties comics (today is Day Two), We will post one comic each day, for eleven days, the last day will be August 13, the first day of Ghost Month. Our theme is “The […] -

Eleven Monsters
I have written a tedious amount of inconsequential information about the Monster Club, and I do not feel any great motivation to write more. If you wish to read (or review) that material, this post from last year can function fairly well as your gateway to what little I know about the Ta Gosan Jacin. In this blessedly fearsome year of 2026, we are acknowledging the Eleven Monsters Holiday of the Ta Gosan Jacin with a retrospective of eleven Geranium Lake Properties comics, posting one comic […] -

Beantoss Mandala Time Ends Today
The last day of Beantoss Mandala Time is not a Jackalopian holiday and I have written no new material. Yesterday, or today, or tomorrow may be the holiday for the Passeggiata of Kalkatura Pumkta, which you can read about at the link provided. Or (also) you may enjoy reading about the holiday called Rakjangrimko, aka Ingrimko Unwa Walks Out, which was celebrated last week, or on July 13 for some people. One day in the future, the two holidays may become a five-day festival. I have been told […]https://vraic.wordpress.com/2026/07/29/beantoss-mandala-time-ends-today/

Two Dilemmas
Included in today's Geranium Lake Properties comic are two dilemmas from The Forty-Nine Dilemmas of Elmer Olpuk, a book written by onetime-Buddhist-monk-now-a-barista Yixilmaq Alkupera. Alkupera borrowed the name of Elmer Olpuk from the Inultaru legend of a hero who is given twelve impossible tasks by an odious man named Uhratambo Drubjoy, who is a corrupt viceroy of the Hahnoqqiplu.1 Elmer Olpuk fails to achieve even one of his tasks. He attempts each of his Twelve Labors with meticulous […] -

Today's Horoscope Once all this ink dries it will become antiqueand perpetual—but your road does not endin a late jade lithograph of the east before west.Receive and overcome the lords of ruin, deaf gods, wastewater, and a closed eye undirected to the world.Escape from even a single minute's pantomimeof docility. The stars reel and bind: do not forgetpity for three wool-capped men and the bridewith a coffee-stained sleeve. All Posts in the Two Poems Series About the Series -

Angles of Repossession
Yes, you have seen this mask before, in an episode of Vraicking titled "Dreams of Krishna". You also may have seen a version of this mask in one of the posters Yost created for Isona Semvashomky, the owner of the Black Clatter Café. Today's post is one of our Geranium lake Properties retrospectives. I have been feeling nostalgic, of late, for lost worlds, for the early part of this century, and for the Eighties and Nineties of the century before. I hope you can enjoy sharing that feeling as we look back at some of my favorite GLP panels. […]https://vraic.wordpress.com/2026/07/12/angles-of-repossession/

One Hundred Yards of Chert and Peat
This one is for those of you who are feeling nostalgic for the look of Geranium Lake Properties when it was printed in newspapers. I hope you will enjoy the grayscale and muted color palette (the third and fifth panels are examples of the usual color brightness found here in Vraicking). Interspersed between the panels are quotes said by the Wostim Gheyt Illuworna in conversation with Jack Loki, from the short story "One Hundred Yards of Chert and Peat". Which I am pretty sure was published1 in Swine and Swineherds, a single issue zine printed in 1996 by Jeff Braidwood. […]https://vraic.wordpress.com/2026/07/03/one-hundred-yards-of-chert-and-peat/
