A citizen petition has been started to ’restrict the use of smart glasses in municipal buildings and institutions in Aarhus.’ If it gets 1,500 signatures, the city council is required to discuss it.
Core reasons given:
- Citizens could be filmed without knowledge or consent
- Safety; the risk of harassment
- Lack of regulation; ’legislation hasn’t kept up with technology’I wonder if other councils have already done this, in Denmark or elsewhere.

Leaving Aarhus 🇩🇰
We left Aarhus today with a little pain in our hearts. We absolutely loved our time there.
Our road trip continued to Wismar, the beautiful old port town where Nosferatu was filmed in 1921. There’s something special about walking through a place with so much history — and knowing that these streets and buildings became part of one of the most iconic horror films ever made.
We ended the day by the water, watching a beautiful sunset over the harbor.
Aarhus was hard to leave… but we might come back.

Aarhus — Day 2 🇩🇰
Dokk1 is just amazing. This is how a library should be!
You can listen to records, watch DVDs, grab a coffee, and there are so many spaces to just hang out and do things. We were also lucky enough to join a really fun workshop about writing letters to nature.
I’ve been missing riding bikes on a daily basis, so naturally we rented bikes. We cycled to a park with deer, took a dip in the sea, and walked around the area with the famous Iceberg buildings.
Honestly…
I wanna move to Scandinavia.

First day in Aarhus 🇩🇰
After a few days exploring Hamburg, we continued our road trip to Aarhus, Denmark.
I really like the vibe. Colorful houses, street art, interesting sculptures, bicycles everywhere, and a lovely waterfront.
Aarhus feels quite different from Hamburg, but in a really nice way. Looking forward to exploring more of the city tomorrow!
