Always following the Pacific coast, I continue heading north. The region is already quite rugged and sparsely populated. The airports here have to struggle with their own unique problems:
“Erratic winds. Moose may be on or near rwy. Large flocks of migratory birds in vicinity of airport during season.”

Continuing the glacier watching with a flight over the Malaspina Glacier: this ice mass covers an area of about 2,500 to 4,000 km² (depending on how you measure). This is three to four times the size of Berlin, Germany 😲
