@mitsuhiko I wouldn't say "acceptance". I would say that we talk about it less these days like I hope Ukrainian people find the energy to talk about something else than the Russian invasion. Because you know, life has to go on.
But I still see people un-share a content when they realize it might be AI-generated. And I still see prominent people posting examples of how AI hurts humanity, begging their audience to resist. And it always resonates much more to me than any AI IDE integration demo. Because deep down I just know that **it is not worth it**.
Make no mistake @mitsuhiko , this is an invasion war, and you are on the winning side. Maybe this is why your message sounds so pedantic to me.

@mitsuhiko Just remember that with great power comes great responsibility. It would be great if the current mess of #Python #packaging tools would be unified, preferably by a single tool provided by Python or #PyPA. For now, you just used your popularity to boost yet another tool in that jungle, maybe even making the problem slightly worse. Hopefully you can use your skills to contribute to the solution, good luck!

Salvatore Sanfilippo (@antirez) and Armin Ronacher (@mitsuhiko) both argue that #AI reimplementation of #copyleft libraries is fine. Their legal reasoning might be correct. That's not the point.
Legal and legitimate are different things—and both pieces quietly assume otherwise.
