The person who stated that "it is clear multi-lateral action on climate has helped to slam the brakes on global emissions growth" is spinning a COP-compatible narrative. He is "Net Zero Tracker Lead".

The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit #ECIU issued the report entitled "global emissions growth in sharp decline".

The sovereign state borrows from other financial institutions: the national Treasury offers an "obligation" or a "bond" whereby it #promises to later give away its fiat currency in exchange for the actual payment of money or title presented by the rentier.

    There's a term for it:

    #CoinageSovereignty

'The coinage sovereignty of the state is a second source of power from which the state can directly cover its money requirement. Nobody contests the state's right to mint coins or to issue treasury notes, indeed beyond that the state has, by virtue of its sovereignty, produced money from every possible source. From copper, nickel, iron, porcelain, aluminium and, above all, from - paper.... we have to state here only that the state can actually cover its need by virtue of its coinage sovereignty, and that it is not forced "to borrow money on interest from those of its citizens who have more of it than they themselves can use".'

Indeed USA and Brazil were built by destroying pre-Encounter @ecology

"Successful colonization of New England depended heavily on domestic animals. […]

"At least at first, friction between these unlikely neighbors grew less from the very different ideas that informed Indian and English concepts of property than from the behavior of livestock. Let loose to forage in the woods, the animals wandered away from English towns into Indian cornfields, ate their fill, and moved on."

  11. We would halve #methane emissions from North America if we cut cattle by half 🧵

A most efficient path would be to target #USA because the headcount is biggest and because each bovine emits most if bred the American way. Same as in Brazil: mas.to/@maugendre/113992940508

Pinus pinea requires mild soil acidity (just like any pine tree) but dominates if low clay. Hence its presence on seasides as up north as the Isle of Man.
