@doctormo I find it utterly baffling that what is THE interaction point of Inkscape -- nodes!! -- can be so clunky. Using the context menu means that the mouse does not have to be moved back and forth from the node to the toolbar / menu over and over again. Even Word 97 had a node context menu.
I cannot personally wrap my head around the idea of dogfooding the program and yet not feeling this pain-point. Yes, there are shortcut keys, but they take time to learn, are not always intuitive and can be forgotten if you only use the program once every few months. What's more, they shouldn't be considered the primary interface to the extent that a context menu is considered _unnecessary_.
And it's not like there isn't precedent either in any other vector program from the last 30 years you might look at if you were looking to make a new vector program.
It concerns me what vacuum / bubble the UX designers must be in if this is not apparent to them. Are they busy rounding every square edge like every other program right now??
