  1. Six buds in a freaky coat: Split Enz share stories behind their colourful costumes – in pictures
By Noel Crombie and Michael Dwyer

Emerging in early-1970s New Zealand, the band turned pop into surreal theatre. Percussionist Noel Crombie was the band’s visual architect, shaping their looks via outlandish costumes, makeup, hair design, album covers and music videos.

@FreakyFwoof A related traveller to you. No pun intended but it is obvious when a company hasn't blind tested their app or process and should start from zero knowledge, no access and no workarounds and see how it works from there. Being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes is a skill.

What do you mean you're not happy with that assessment?...

  5. If you use either Clipman on Desktop or Sensor Readout, try updating, then pressing F1 on different controls, in the main window, in preferences, see if the help makes certain things easier to understand. That's my hope, anyway.

  6. Saved all the files. DM for a link if interested. It's big.

  7. CW: Sensor Readout Changelog

    Latest release: 6.5.0

    - Added: The process watcher list can open a selected process's file location with Alt+Enter or its context menu when the executable path is available. Enter still starts the configured watch.
    - Added: Plain F1 opens readable help for the focused control in the main window and Sensor Readout dialogs, with Copy help, Manual, and Close buttons. Escape returns to the original control without changing field values; help never displays entered passwords, tokens, or other input text. Tab navigation stays concise: names, values, states, and useful shortcuts. Detailed control instructions appear only in F1 help, not in normal descriptions or visible hints. Warnings, privacy and consent information, and live results still appear when required.
    - Changed: Plain F1 is reserved for control help even in hotkey-entry fields. Supported combinations such as Ctrl+Shift+F1 remain assignable; the full manual remains available from Help > Manual and the Manual button in help.
    - Added: Performance/Overview now shows the Windows feature update name, such as 25H2, alongside the numeric Windows version and build when Windows provides it.

  8. CW: Clipman Changelog

3.1.9: Desktop Help and Image Opening

This update is for Windows, macOS and Linux. Mobile clients, Clipman CLI and Clipman Server are unchanged.

Press F1 for help tailored to the focused control. Screen readers no longer repeat those explanations during normal navigation. F1 also works in hotkey fields without changing the assigned key.
In Rich Text History, Alt+Enter (Option+Return on Mac) opens a selected clipboard image in your default image app. In File History, the same shortcut reveals the selected item's location without running it.
Opening a link or image closes History after a successful launch. If opening fails, History stays available with the error.
Quick Clip opened from a global shortcut returns you to the previous window state when saved or cancelled, instead of leaving History in front.
Newly captured images with a generic name include the source application when available, making them easier to identify. Existing entries and genuine filenames are unchanged.

Your settings and history are preserved. Choose the Apple Silicon or Intel download for your Mac; the Mac updater selects the appropriate build automatically.
To update now, perform Shift+F1 in-app.

  11. Was told about a free 14 GB library for UVI today, so I thought I might as well grab it. Got some killer drums in it, and also this very beautiful piano that I just had to play. I should be in bed really, but you know...

    6. Password doesn't work, though I tested it on the site and it works there.
    7... Fuck my life.

I tried this about 20 times wasting countless time in-between.
    App is up to date.

Fucking Thursday. Just fuck it with a rusty coat hanger. I'm done with it.

  15. I have the files for 13 AT&T voices now. 5 GB of Flac. Lots of clips about weather, transportation, clips from the WSJ, strange spellings, single syllable words and a lot of other weirdness.

  16. I was able to get Codex to grab all the pCM data out of AT&T Mike, it presented me with some 2080 files, over 5 hours. This is what he sounds like raw.
