  1. Game Boy CPU (Sharp LR35902) instruction set (opcodes)

The opcodes.json contains a JSON representation of the complete Sharp LR35902 instruction set. Inside the bin folder you will find the script used to generate the opcodes.json file from the pastraiser.com site.

The Sharp LR35902 is often described as a hybrid processor because it blends features of the Zilog Z80 and the Intel 8080, while also stripping out several features of both to save silicon space and battery life.

  10. AWS Strands Labs has released Strands Decider 2B, an open source decision model that picks options in about 115ms. Built on Qwen3.5-2B-Base, it runs locally on CPUs or consumer GPUs and is designed for routing, tool selection and guardrails in AI agents. The model scores 0.723 on JevBench and returns calibrated confidence scores without generating text. marktechpost.com/2026/10/01/aw #AIagent #AI #GenAI #AIInfrastructure

  13. How much hosting does your website actually need?

Traffic is only part of the equation. CPU, RAM, storage, PHP workers, concurrent activity, caching, traffic spikes, and growth headroom all matter.

Our guide explains how to estimate the resources your website really needs - and when it may be time to upgrade: olvy.io/0THbp

  15. I pre-ordered #TransportFever3 and didn’t pay any attention to the minimum specifications because “I’ve not had a problem before” only to discover it needs AVX2 instruction set support, of which my CPU doesn’t have that. 😭

  18. Here's 3 avenues I am personally pursuing as the coding / "traditional" software engineering part of the job gets crushed.

    - mathematics: since we massage symbols to communicate complex ideas, compose complex things and transform them into bytes CPUs can interpret, might as well be very stringent about this kind of thinking that has become more important than ever. We could hide behind the sheer complexity of assembling pieces of code by hand, but now need to think much bigger. One very concrete application: proving software correct.

    - design: making things look good, making them work well, making them be delightful is a profoundly human endeavour. That vibeslop has become "the new standard" in many ways is already a win. I'll let anybody use the CUPS UI to see what I mean. Now it's time to really take it to the next level. With a huge amount of people being able to "vibe" their apps, it's now important to elevate design to a "how do we design designing tools"

    - hardware: everything with a CPU is fair game, pretty much. There is a lot of hard work to be done to know what to combine and how, how to minimize power consumption, how to make software work on very small devices. The better you know how electronics and manufacturing and physical things like mechanical components or EE stuff work, the easier it is to summon the right code to make them interact.
