Chapter 1 - "Hunting Rakers"
On a remote planet, an abandoned colony of disabled civilians make a desperate attempt to call on help from a neighbouring empire. However, even before they get to the ship, they have to contend with the local predators, the huge weasel derivative known as Rakers.
