Some great UI design there, #HPCWire (click to see the entire screenshot).
You can accept the default cookie settings, but none of the other controls are reachable.
Fine, I'll just use Reader mode instead and give you no monetization at all.

New paper: when you grind #coffee , adding a tiny amount of water to the whole beans (called #rdt in online coffee circles) is the most effective way to reduce static clumping - better than deionization - and increases espresso extraction by up to 15%
Tl;dr: rdt is the best way to reduce static issues when grinding, *and* it materially affects the resulting brew.

We played #sanshin in front of an audience for the first time yesterday. And, well, there's room for improvement... But it was fun!
Our teacher had a workshop for a group of university students, and we helped out. We played three songs as examples of the types of music usually played on the sanshin.
But, the students *also* learned how to play Twinkle Little Star on the sanshin, and that was great! They loved actually playing a real instrument, and it was a blast helping them!

Ferry to #Tokashiki island today, and spend the long weekend doing nothing much.

World Of Goo 2 is coming on August 2, so I played through the original once more - does it still hold up today?
Yes. Yes it does. It reminded me just how brilliant the original game is, and now I'm all the more excited for the new game. If it's as good as the original, then surely the Goo Cinematic Universe can't be far behind!

Jag skickade precis epost till Miljöpartiet om Chat Control.
Sade som det var: jag röstade på dom i EU valet för att stoppa detta. Och jag kommer inte göra om det misstaget i framtida val.

James Hoffman makes a video about Okinawan coffee! Specifically about how very rare, hard to produce coffee can get very expensive.
With that said, I'm pretty sure I can get (and already have) coffee beans from that farmer for less than 5 man... Of course, a big part of the price is the rarity of the thing - coffee from Okinawa - more than the actual level of enjoyment. And of course they're selling the very best of the beans they grow.

Today's #coffee is from La Democracia in Huehuetenango, Guatemela, an anaerobic coffee roasted by #Lilo Coffee Roasters in #Osaka . Brewed it 16g/250g in a #Hario Switch for 3 minutes at 92°.
I swear it smells like really good pipe tobacco. Not a dry, sour tobacco smell, but the good bits: the sweet, almost brandy-like leather notes in a tin of rough cut tobacco.
The taste is more towards a spicy and nutty flavour, with a good balance of sour and bitterness.
A new favourite coffee!
