Just the right thing to slowly start the week.

#nowplaying Apollo 440 - Electro Glide In Blue
What an album. I must have listened to this hundreds of times in the 90s and early 2000s. Such a wide variety of moods and styles.
I really wish there was a modern, well-mastered re-release.

#nowplaying Red Sparowes - The Fear Is Excruciating But Therein Lies The Answer
One of the first albums I bought right after getting back into #vinyl
I'm still sad that after the next album they sorta disappeared. If anyone has recommendations for similar music in complexity (without getting too "prog" and noodly), I am all ears.

#nowplaying Hardspace: Shipbreaker OST
HS:SB was a side project at first, spun off from an idea that was floated in the context of Deserts of Karakh early development.
For me, it's a meditative game (I play without shift time limit), and the music goes along nicely with it.
Unfortunately, the physical copies are not sold in (or shipped to) Switzerland, only the US and EU. Fortunately, I can still have it shipped to my dad's and have him forward it.

#nowplaying Photek - Modus Operandi
It took me forever to find a mint copy of this at a reasonable price (typical Discogs price is 90-150 bucks plus shipping, and while I like Photek and particularly this album, that's a bit much). And the sound quality is crisp and clear, as the minimal DnB of Photek demands.

#nowplaying Black Rainbows - Superskull
One of those records I mostly bought for the cover art. But the noise also delivers!

@nyrath I had a random thought today: HS: Shipbreaker is kinda the opposite of Kerbal, and yet, both contain plenty of unintentionally exploded ships.

#nowplaying Carbon Base Lifeforms: Derelicts
This album got me through some very rough parts of 2020 and beyond. It's ethereal, warm, haughty and a lot of other things. And the pressing is fantastic. Not a single click throughout, the quietest track gaps I have never (not) heard. Absolutely fantastic.

#nowplaying FSOL - ISDN
This is the RSD2024 re-release, and while I am usually very wary of overpriced RSD releases, this one sounds fantastic and is dead quiet between the tracks. And of course the music is sublime and just the right thing for a Friday.

#nowplaying Yello - The Race 12"
Such a pivotal moment in music that nobody noticed at the time. everybody knows Yello for the Ferris Bueller track ("Oh yeah"). But this is where it was at.

#nowplaying Two Fingers vs. Muadeep -- Cronos
At this point, Two Fingers is just Amon Tobin (Joe Chapman left), but on this, he's pairing up with Muadeep for some delightfully noisy and weird mayhem.
