Yay! got DVD player hooked up to new TV and functional. $16 adapter did the trick. All TV tech now good to go. Whew! Still need to work on programing remotes though. It's always the fiddly little details in the end. #FunWithTech

Finally making some more progress on holiday decorations. Outdoor "cone tree" is up and lit, small decorative trees are out and placed. Next up garland around ceiling and large outdoor baubles need to go up - but those are two person jobs and I'm waiting on help. Finally starting to feel festive around here #HolidayFun

@Joe_Hill I don't have a fancy sound setup for the TV, just a simple sound bar using optical audio out. There's no RCA inputs on the TV, which is what the DVD player has so I'm getting a little box that will convert to HDMI for that (instead of a new player). Need to figure out how to get new TV "magic" remote to be a remote for multiple devices. It's supposedly possible. We'll see . . . #FunWithTech

got a new TV all set up this evening. Jumped from a 32 inch to a 48 inch. Now watching "Slow Horses" 😎 Bit of a learning curve but so far so good. Over the weekend I'll be fiddling with options and programing and remotes etc. but for now all is good to go for the basics. An RCA to HDMI adapter is now on the way for the old DVD Player. #FunWithTech

lousy sleep last night. bleah. One of those days today where I'm not quite tired enough for a nap yet not much energy or focus to get much done either. Ah well. Oh, and part of the lousy sleep was the theme song from "What We Do In The Shadows" kept running through my head All Night Long! And like an old cassette tape that's been played too many times as the sleepless night wore on the sound kept deteriorating into mush.
