  2. I don’t love for all the reasons that Nina Tame shares on instagram (check out her post at instagram.com/p/DCUhO4GM39j/, and her website at ninatame.komi.io) - in short: children shouldn’t have to share their personal circumstances, difficulties and trauma to be deserving of support and access. That’s what a government should provide.

BUT I do love a nursery bake sale! Look at these amazing made by Mackenzie’s favourite staff member!

"In the past, the FOSS community has responded to new challenges with a race-to-the-bottom document that defines the bare minimum of user rights and freedoms that the community of activists will accept.“

... "Rather than despair, we turned our minds to what FOSS does best: imagining the ideal if corporate interests were not the primary force defining society's relationship with software."

  4. - Sharing is caring (data, data pipelines, code, results, collaborations)
    - Dissemination and impact (papers, impact, policy, communication to the wider public)
    - Career paths in healthcare (fellowships, funding, industry, lectureships)

    Phew!! So many fascinating discussions!

  5. As part of the discussion Prof Avery has invited Alan Griffiths - who has multiple long term conditions and who takes 14 pills per day. He talks about how these define him (or not) and which elements are the most challenging.

“It’s not the conditions that are the hardest part, it’s what I have to do to manage all of them, every day. Especially through some of the hardest times in my life.”

  10. Our last speaker in this session is Krish Nirantharakumar Co-PI Optimal at the University of Birmingham. His talk is focused on Utilising an informatics consult to improve prescribing.

His team are building tools to visualise and analyse the prescribing of multiple long term conditions. The tool can also start to predict what conditions might emerge over time!

  15. @drandrewv2 that’s exactly what our tell us and others. It’s SO EXHAUSTING to try to navigate the health care system. The most vulnerable fall through the gaps!

I’m so sorry that you had that experience (even if it is so terribly common). Sending big hugs and well done persevering so long! ❤️❤️

  16. Mike Barnes of Queen Mary University is having us ponder even how you define something like a “long term prescription”? What is long? What if someone switches medications? How long a gap is enough to note?

The AI-Multiply team are taking a longitudinal approach and using #AI and data science tools to follow prescribing data over time for individuals and then summarising them across cohorts.
