Successfully facilitated another #ensemble #exploratory #testing session with the team today.
Besides great product findings we also identified a new type of "navigator" - the "taxi passenger navigator".
They give the driver an idea what to do then don't say anything for five minutes and let the driver do their job.
In the defense of the navigator he had just returned from the dentist. 😅

@maaretp oh boy, I've heard that myself recently. Why does anyone need to know #Scala or #ZIO - can you just turn it into a configurable system so non-programmers can build new reports?
Ah right - the same non-programmers who can't deal with the graphical filter builder they already have and want it even simpler.
I know, why not just teach the users SQL, give them the schema definition and let them have at it... 😃

Kun on useampia lapsia niin on ihana olla välillä liikkeellä vain yhden kanssa.
Isompien lähtiessä kouluun, me suunnattiin taaperon kanssa Janakkalan Laurinmäelle retkeilemään.
Mentiin taaperon tahtiin ja hän sai myös päättää missä käytiin.

-katsomassa tuulimyllyä
-katsomassa taloa (Vähäkurjen torppa)
-sillalla, jonka raoissa kasvoi ketunleipää
-mäen päällä
-katsomassa lampaita
-isolla kivelläMatkalla nähtiin lisäksi
-talo, joka ei ollut talo vaan muistomerkki, koska siinä ei ollut ovea

-pakurikääpä, jolla oli silmät

-hieno ja iloinen koira
-ilves, joka olikin kuulemma kettu, jolla oli tuoliJa sitten kauppaan hakemaan sushia, koska lounasaika oli mennyt jo tunti sitten.
Pieni eväspatukka puolivälissä auttoi jaksamaan, mutta taapero esitti ihan hyvän toiveen, että voitaisiin joskus syödä sushia Laurinmäellä.

Rumpu-ukolta tilattu tee se itse -rumpusetti saapui jo maanantaina, mutta vasta tänään löytyi aikaa rauhassa työstää rumpua.
Kehä on petsattua koivuvaneria ja kalvo poron nahkaa.
Värjäsin nahan reunat mustikalla. Alkuun väri oli aika räikeän violetin pinkki, mutta on sinertynyt ja haalistunut koko ajan nahan kuivuessa.
Rummun julkiselle puolelle piirsin kolme puukiipijää ja yksityisellä puolella on kalliomaalauksien tyylillä piirretty hirvi.
Kuvat on piirretty Emottin tusseilla.Kapulan varreksi tuli paketissa ehkä mäntykeppi, mutta minulla oli kotona liian pitkä majavan kuorima sauva, jossa näkyy vielä majavan hampaan jälkiä. Nyt lopulta lyhensin sen sopivaksi ja samalla sain siitä kapulan varren.

As I have been having conversations with #testers across organizations, I am noticing that the EU making salaries public soon change is having impacts on internal conversations of value of your work vs. salary you are paid now.
I hope we would have better tools on this space too to have the conversations, because this leaves people feeling like they were never good enough.

Me as manager, testing the organization. Today the target of testing is purchasing computers, where I explore the boundaries; and training budgets, both in terms of money out of pocket and time unavailable for other work. #Testers can surely turn everything into testing.

We worked with @rinkkasatiainen for 9 months to grow #TechExcellence in the team, from within. To remember the time, I used gource and my cringy video editing skills to create a keepsake. This is what we look like working on our codebase. Movement is work.

Jännä ilmiö, jonka huomaan joka kesä.
Meillä on vähän puolivilliintynyt piha (ihan tarkoituksella). Ja kesällä usein ei malttaisi millään lähteä sisälle kun pihalla on niin kaunista💚
Mutta, jos on oleillut viereisessä metsikössä ja tulee portista pihalle niin koko keho huutaa, että jää metsään ja piha on ihan liian laitettu.🌲Jos piha olisi betonia, kiveä ja hiekkaa ja muutama tuija tai havu niin varmaan itkisin joka kerta metsästä tullessa😅
...Mutta miksi tuo nolo nauru-hymiö? Kyseessä kuitenkin lienee ihan biologinen juttu ja minä tiedän olevani erityisesti herkistyny sille, miltä joku ympäristö tuntuu.
Tuossa kohdassa raja on niin selkeä kun välissä ei ole matkaa vaan astutaan suoraan metsästä pihaan. -

Looks like we had 85 summer trainees this summer. From what I experience, the number is limited by mentors, and it makes me kind of happy to have a steady annual influx of people getting their experiences with #Vaisala. There is a need of constant training positions, not only summertimes, and every company should pitch in to training next generations of professionals doing the work.

#Vaisala seems to have 37 open summer trainee positions now. And this is still missing the three we should open with teams close to me. We will have one for infra, two for sw development.
Difference between "Giant Leap" and "Summer Trainee" is that the first runs their own prototype creation project during summer, the latter shares project with teams.

Lisäksi käytiin Altan museossa katsomassa muinaisia kivikaiverruksia ja hassua revontulikirkkoa. Parasta Altassa oli kuitenkin ihana rullakiviranta! Pyörylöitä ja pötkylöitä kaikissa sateenkaaren väreissä!

Käytiin Herrasmustekalan kanssa Pohjois-Norjassa ja nähtiin Gorsabruan ja Pikefossenin vesiputoukset. Molemmat ryöppysivät ihan villeinä, Gorsabruan putous korkeana ja Pikefossenin leveänä.
