Found family is a great story trope, but it's even better when it's a family of misfits and oddlings. Yes, I made that word up, I like it! We were watching Leroy & Stitch last night, and it occurred to me that Lilo & Stitch and the Wandering Inn are similar that way. R for sure has deficits (but so does python), but for exploratory data analysis, particularly ones heavy in statistics, R can sometimes shine. I still abhore passing variables into functions, but I get why for simple EDA one might want non-standard evaluation.
