Found family is a great story trope, but it's even better when it's a family of misfits and oddlings. Yes, I made that word up, I like it! We were watching Leroy & Stitch last night, and it occurred to me that Lilo & Stitch and the Wandering Inn are similar that way. I had the thought that if Stitch were in the inn, he would just understand in ways many in innworld do not. #LiloAndStitch #TheWanderingInn

Évidemment, ça sous-entend du coup une abondance de ces *excellents chapitres*, qu'on trouve régulièrement pendant le récit.

À la rigueur on peut dire que les 2-3 premiers chapitres sur les goblins (début du volume 1) étaient un peu, euh, pas évident de se mettre dedans.
Ils étaient bons hein, juste un peu déroutants et pas tout à fait attrayant au premier abord.Mais c'est tout.
Tout le reste de TWI est *vachement bon* par défaut, c'est ouf.

Même l'excellent Ascendance of a Bookworm (que j'aime d'amour) a quelques chapitres un peu eh ici et là (rares). Idem pour d'autres trucs hyper bien que j'ai lu, genre 1Q84 (bon j'ai pas lu grand-chose d'autre :9), ou -à l'époque où j'étais encore assez difficile niveau littérature- Hunger Games (qui m'avait pourtant hyper hook, avec -entres autres choses- sa narration à coups de cliffhanger).

J'pense, le truc vraiment avec The Wandering Inn, c'est que depuis l'apparition de Relc et Klbkch (chapitre 3 ou 4 or so ?), y'a pas eu un seul chapitre qui soit pas au moins *vachement bon*.
Genre
Le chapitre *moyen* de TWI est "très bon", car les moins bons chapitres sont juste "vachement bons".
Ca me fume.

Je suis bien content que la recommendation m'ait atteint. Si chui parfaitement honnête, je m'attendais pas à pouvoir combler de sitôt l'immense vide laissé par La Petite Faiseuse de Livres (Ascendance of a Bookworm). Mais as it turns out, je que pense oui, un peu quand même :yotsuba_pleased:

Qu'est-ce que c'est bien
J'en suis à grossièrement la moitié du volume 1, on est en train de debrief deux story beat majeurs pour lesquels j'étais clairement pas prêt :') Mais le récit de ces évènements est vraiment riche, prenant et parait juste.
C'est vraiment une excellente lecture pour le moment, et ça se recommande très très facilement. C'est pas du tout une surprise, mais c'est pas pour autant que ça sert à rien de le dire :
