@PerryM I became aware of Mayor Pete in 2018 when he was on an NPR game show. Strangely for this type of program he talked about the new high tech sewer system in South Bend. He was not just funny, but brilliant and engaging.

This is a crazy story. Department of Agriculture is asking employees to volunteer to fill critical positions that were left vacant after mass firings.
The department is still planning to reduce staff and cannot guarantee that any staff that comply will not be fired.
