  1. Saw Wim Wenders’s new film Perfect Days at Coolidge Corner Theatre this afternoon, and it was superb. In typical Wenders fashion, the plot is very slow, gradually connecting you with the characters. Kôji Yakusho as the protagonist is amazing. When the credits rolled, I found myself weeping. What a lovely, gentle, deeply moving film!

  10. Is anyone using viewer on ? I see it's still not officially supported (last supported version is Ventura), and that there are some open tickets. I've been holding off upgrading to Sonoma because of this.

  11. Anyone else have issues with double clicking? I'm running macOS, but I think the issue is more general.

I've found that I sometimes generate double clicks by mistake (and there are times when the results are a problem). And other times, it takes me a couple of tries to get the double click to register.

On macOS, I've tried tweaking the accessibility settings to make the results I get be more reliable, but I wasn't happy with the results.

  16. Just finished watching the original Swedish version of The Bridge for the ?th time. Amazingly powerful performances. Until the last two episodes, I didn't quite remember that I was going to be weeping as it came to a conclusion.

  17. The new Bayard Rustin film is showing at Coolidge Corner Theatre and the trailer makes it look excellent:

    But ... come on Coolidge:

“He challenged authority, never apologized for who he was, what he believed, or who he desired.”

Part of what he was, of course, was gay. Amazed the Coolidge minced words!
