Love this movement of my #viola and #piano suite, Nevermore, so much (featuring Charlotte Goode)! Edgar Allan Poe’s “Annabel Lee” was the last compete poem he composed before he died.

🎶 ☠️ 🤍 So, I figured I could write a piece as good as any Philip Glass piece.
At the time I wrote this, composer Phillip Glass was getting a lot of buzz. I saw performances of his work and found myself being very critical. I felt I could do as well as any of his pieces.
As the saying goes, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."
So, I challenged myself to write a piece with elements of Glass' style and elements of my style.

Learned something new: the composer of "Choptsticks" was Euphemia Amelia Nightingale Allan.
"Today, Allan is merely known because she composed what is now known as Chopsticks under her ‘de Lulli’ nom de plume. It originated as the Celebrated Chop Waltz, published jointly by Mozart
