Just found out, 25 years late, Ian Dury is no longer with us, RIP. Saw him at Dooley's, with his Blockheads, in Tempe way, way back, now it's closed. What an act, what a performer. I learned he passed by way a review of The Cook, the4 Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, in which I learned he had a bit part in, also only recently. Looks like I missed a few things! Great movie, great venue, hella performer and now, all I got is celluloid memories. Such is/was life

The Atlantic has a piece about Havasu Canyon and the Havasupai, people of the blue green waters, and how their mail is delivered. The Atlantic has apparently picked up the baton as this story is on repeat every 5 years as some sort of cultural meteor on a spherical journey around our mental map. lolz, I’ve been down Havasu Canyon probably 20 times, 500 miles worth of time in this sacred canyon. Wondering if *any* legislature in *any* state or in Washington, D.C., has *ever* conducted an active shooter drill, even one time? I know the answer and would suggest this needs to change immediately. Random active shooter drills should be conducted in every legislative body in this country on a regular basis, until the shootings stop.
