At work we have an initiative to encourage folks to have a break from their desk and have a little walk outside. If you see something nice/pretty/interesting you can take a picture and share it on a slack channel (this is a really lovely thing to do - highly recommended!)
Anyways, I went into a meeting yesterday and someone had one of my pictures as their wallpaper and it really made my day!! 🤗

I'm at the launderette. It's really busy. A dryer finished so someone emptied it to use the dryer, the person who owns the clothes isn't here though. 3 ladies are chatting and folding the clothes. No one knows each other. It's all rather lovely.
Who knew that sitting in the launderette showed you a sweet side of life.
Also there's a man here unsure how to do the wash, he asked me for help, and promised he wasn't a weirdo. He's not a weirdo and now lots of the women are helping him too.

A little while ago I got sent down a rabbit hole on YouTube Shorts (as I am too old for TikTok) into videos of nice carpenter dudes carving stuff from scrap wood. It was wonderful. And now YouTube has delivered unto me a new rabbit hole: nice geologist dudes cracking open geodes and showing off their crystal collections. These dudes literally rock!! They make my brain so happy.
