There’s an iPhone 18 Pro sitting on my desk, but I’m still using my 15 that has a super janky USB-C port. Why? Because the new phone has iOS 27, which is one of the iOS versions we get every couple years that ships with a series of screen reader bugs that would be inexcusable if non-disabled users had to deal with anything like them. You can find a run-down of the issues at this link if you’re interested, but they include things like: you can’t access your history, reading list, or bookmarks in Safari; sometimes the time display is just wrong - usually it’s the time you last awoke your device; and sometimes in the middle of reading text, reading stops for no reason. So I’ll cross my fingers and hope these issues get resolved before the trade-in window for my old device closes. #Tech #Accessibility #Apple #iPhone #Disability #Blind https://www.applevis.com/newsletter/ios-27-ipados-27-summary-voiceover-braille-issues-improvements
