  1. The last day of the larger pond without a fence! I had to either fence the pond for health and safety reasons (new rules by the council), or remove it, same for the medium-sized pond which will be fenced as well. So I bought a fence which has arrived now. I will build it at the weekend, more pictures next week. Hopefully it will not look too awful and most wildlife will still be able to get to the water. #allotment #pond

  2. There is still some colour on the allotment from many asters which revived after the rain we had at the end of August. Ornamental grasses are looking great too. But still very dry here and not much rain since then, still waiting for proper prolonged rain but the next weeks look dry too ☹️. #allotment #autumn

  3. A magpie enjoying itself in the water when the new pond was still a pond and not a bog garden. Luckily the birds still have the other ponds to bath and splash about 🙂 #wildlife #allotment
