  17. Dutch quartet #PipBlom delivered a joyously jangly set of #indie #rock tonight, wrapping up their UK tour with an Independent Venue Week #gig at #Portsmouth's #WedgewoodRooms.

    With a setlist hand-picked by their tour manager (also van driver & merch guy) this was a foot-tappingly fun showcase, a jaunt through their back catalogue and new #album. A lovely way to start the week, just wonderful.

  19. Ernest Withers was a photographer based in Memphis, TN. He photographed everything that happened in town from baptisms to weddings to funerals. When the Civil Rights Movement began, he photographed that as a part of life in town, including the day MLK was shot.

    He was also an informant for the FBI for many many years.

    This is a complicated story, because the whole situation is complicated.
