My wife and I went to see Nosferatu at the local independent cinema yesterday, and I must say that the more I think about it, the more I think it is a real classic. I have finally seen Wim Wenders' 'Perfect Days'.

Koji Yakusho won a Palme d'Or for his acting, which seems about right. The movie didn't win one, which is about right too.

So... once again I'm watching a movie and I have to stop because I'm curious about something in a scene and I have to look it up. This time the movie is the original 1974 version of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and the "thing" is a book, the "A to Z Horoscope Maker and Delineator."

I have to admit I've never seen the film before, so this is my first time. Also, vintage copies of the book can be found online for less than $10, fyi. 😜

I studied film in college years ago and was a huge independent film fan, but I've become bad at keeping up with new films. I just don't see that many anymore. I tend towards documentary and older films, often rewatching films for the nth time rather than something new. But maybe I need to change that tendency.
