  4. If you brick an Atmega because you selected the wrong fuses for the clock. Do the following:
    Disconnect the crystal and crystal caps. Get a signal generator and set it to around 4Vpp, +2V offset, Sine with 8MHz. Feed the Sine into XTAL1.
    Now you should be able to reprogram the Atmega with an ISP programmer.
