  1. Rocking out to #BetterThanEzra 's "Friction Baby." Good singable tunes.

  2. CW: More daring culinary experiments

I took a huge risk and bought a different type of bread this week.

I had one that was a #SafeFood but I'm tired of finding flax seeds everywhere.

So I bought a whole wheat bread instead. Actually two loaves (on sale that way), which, if the bread turned out to be offensive, is a lot of guilt or gagging.

But the first slice was okay. A successful experiment?

(Less risk anyway now that I can offload #autistically offensive foodstuffs onto my partner.)

  3. Someone please explain to me how #Knix #PeriodPanties actually work.

Surely you don't just throw them into the washing machine.

  4. New #FindingMyVoice goal:

Learn to sing "Combustible" by #CoeurDePirate.

"Mais comprends enfin, je suis combustible,
Je ne peux arrêter, je n'suis pas docile."

(This one will be a challenge without crying.)

  5. CW: Coeur de Pirate (Béatrice Martin) is a genius.

This one she wrote in both French and English, I assume just because she enjoys the challenge of bending two languages to her will simultaneously, and then she also danced the choreography like some sort of mystical nymph:

Also I will talk *at length* about how "Impossible à aimer" is a concept album, the progression through song of an entire relationship with Shakespearean levels of drama, in astonishing emotional clarity and musical variety. My unconfirmed theory is that the progression actually ends with an homage to Greek chorus, because the album is a play in flashback, but the story is eternal.

I also think she wrote this genius in righteous fury at an ex who treated her poorly and then had the audacity to question what art she would make of him. She repurposed male hubris into an album-length feminist smackdown.

    Worth learning some French for.

  6. CW: Coeur de Pirate (Béatrice Martin) is a genius.

During my walk, my mind gave me this banger of a song:

I had to put my #CoeurDePirate collection away for a few months because I couldn't handle how emotionally resonant her songs are, and how catchy. I'm thrilled to be able to listen again, because she's an actual genius. Like, in my opinion, up there with #TrentReznor.

I'm pretty sure the last two minutes of that video is *one shot.* Where they are acting out Bonnie and Clyde / Romeo and Juliet, while also lip-synching their banger of a song (while one of them is carrying another entire adult human being). Art. Deserves a wider audience.

  7. A thing I learned today:

Never Too Small -- which produces soothing, inspiring videos about ingenious tiny homes -- now has a 24/7 feed on YouTube.

Possibly of interest to others in the #ActuallyAutistic community, at least the subset that loves Ikea and floorplans.

  8. CW: Dogs are gross

I honestly can't believe my dog's farts lately.

I ended up doing a bit of research and I guess the situation does actually worsen with age, as the digestive system does a poorer job of digesting.

It is not her fault, and I should not kick her out of the bedroom. But I considered it last night, as she farted toxic blasts at me at three-minute intervals. I considered it.
