And previously they screwed up registering a PoA for my mother who needed money to pay for her care. On Friday last week they offered her compensation. They can't do the simplest administration and then they make their mess the customer's problem. They don't care about the stress and anxiety they cause, or the consequences of their actions/inactions. I'd rather keep my money in a shoe box than invest it with #ScottishWidows.

My 92yo dad lived in the same house for over 67 years but recently had to move. He'd saved all his life and for the first time needed to use some of his savings. He has done everything they asked for but will never have utility bills at his new address. He did what #ScottishWidows suggested and went to his Lloyds bank branch to get his id verified (twice), but to no avail. Lloyds bank was wonderful. #ScottishWidows is awful. They make the DWP look efficient.

#ScottishWidows has ruined another day. It's beyond belief how incompetent they are. You'd think they could manage a change of address especially if you use their own forms from their policy booklets, then reply to their letter asking for more info. But no. They ignore you, refuse to release your funds and then send a letter to your old address saying they have had to trace you using electoral register (only updated once a month) and tracing service, asking please confirm your address.
