I’m a little freaked out.Calling it a day, I want to read until sleep arrived. My current book depresses me. “No, something else.” With Stoppard’s recent passing, I thought, “Arcadia!” I don’t have a copy. The only downloadable version is L.A. Theater Works’ audio recording. Wonderful, but I want the words to sing them myself. I’ll buy the Grove Press edition tomorrow.
Disappointed, a Fediverse chuckle would have to do.

@990000 Totally agree. I would love to see a "wholistic" vision for #Python4 - reasonable package management, simplify many things, emphasize / lean into making it teachable & useable by kids ("pseudocode which compiles").
print(f"...") strings are dumb. Types by default / enforced. Subprocess "without", "splitting", "everything". Learn some of the smart things from Java & Rust without the verbosity & ugliness. Easily shareable compiled executables...

@990000 @cherrykoda nowadays #ckeditor is the way to go with #CraftCMS. It is where Pixel & Tonic integrate the new features. Redactor will not see any further new features. Check the plugin in the plugin store. It is worth it, I would say.

I'd love to read this article, but it's stuck behind an aggressive paywall and I can't get past it with either archive.org or archive.today.
I understand that newspapers need to find a way to be financially viable.
But it's a real problem that all the AI slop and fascist content on the internet is free, while much of the news that educates people about why AI slop and fascism are bad is paywalled.
Also, the fact that all the shit is free is not a coincidence.

What else could you expect from a deregulated ride sharing system (Carma—hitchhiking with a smartphone) that Uber and Lyft executives pursued to exploit drivers and reject autonomous vehicles (Robotaxis, Waymo)?
