    Lady Chinolot and Witch of the Sea
    An Angel Flew Down to Me

    As the moon rose, Hana, a moon maiden, flew by and saw the young woman. Some have called Hana an angel, so bright was her face framed by flowing black hair. From her back spread wings of moonbeams, flashing silver in the night.

    Landing next to the woman, Hana saw the spark of divinity within Himari and took pity.

    “Child of the Moon, princess, arise.” Hana’s voice sounded like kagurasuzu heard in the distant hills. A soft ringing that calmed the spirit and evoked reverence. “You were given to the sea, so can’t take you from in. The curses you have uttered have touched you as well. Curses come with a price.”
