I try really, really hard to pay for all my media. I didn't always - usually I just couldn't afford to spend even more money on it than I already was - but I have plenty of income now and work in a creative industry so I try.
But damn, sometimes they make it really hard.
I'm watching Law & Order and want to see part 2 of a crossover with Homicide: Life on the Streets. I would literally pay for a month of whatever streaming service to see that one episode.
But it's not available anywhere. DVD only.
Because of music licensing.
And so I return to the high-seas. Yarrrrrr

Look, I'm not saying we all need to become pirates. But every time I see anything about online DRM/dependency on a server FOR SINGLE PLAYER OR LOCAL GAMEPLAY, a piece of my soul grows cold, longing for the seven seas.
And I'm almost out of soul pieces.
EA, Ubisoft, go sit on a cactus.
