@lumiya First thought: XY Problem?
Second thought: elections? or #electronics
Third thought: what are you using now? Literally pen and paper?
Have you tried KiCad with an imported set of photos?
Or krita/gimp/inkscape might be better than paper and pen, especially if you have a graphics tablet not just a mouse.

"The #XYproblem is asking about your attempted solution rather than your actual problem. This leads to enormous amounts of wasted time and energy, both on the part of people asking for help, and on the part of those providing help"

People often get angry about this, but most people need to learn how to ask good questions. One example of a bad way to ask questions is dubbed "The XY Problem"
* A person wants to do X, but doesn't know how.
* The person thinks (often erroneously) that Y is the solution, but doesn't know how to do Y either.
* The person asks for help with Y, rather than their original problem X.

FWIW this is kind of an #XYProblem —I have a multi-page 16:9 HTML presentation using dzslides that I need to convert to PDF. Presently the only way I see is to flip page by page and print each page, *but* ideally I would like to keep the 16:9 aspect ratio. Recommendations on alternative ways to do it are welcome.

I work at a university. UK HE is what you get when #GoodhartsLaw and the #XYProblem get into an ill-advised relationship with each other.

#Engineers, please don't assume that the existence of the #XYProblem means you understand the needs of the person you're talking to better than they do.
Doubly so if it's not in an engineering context.

@pwaring ouch I immediately have to ask:
Are you sure that’s the simplest and most logical way to obtain your goal? -
It turns out I'm an XY Problem maniac. Meaning almost every proposed change or issue I see I instinctively evaluate on being Y instead of X.
In most of the cases I'm not wrong. 🤷♂️
