    I just had a front row seat next to Bill Frisell on the stage in a small church in Kreuzberg. I did not expect his guitar playing to be soft spoken with a warm tone, just like the man.

    He managed to mesmerize the audience. Nobody dared interrupt his playing with applause for the first 30mins.

    A new first: during some quieter parts I could hear the unamp'ed strings from his Telecaster (he uses a thick pick).

    It was well worth sitting on cold stone floor for 3 hours.
