@anon_opin agreed, although BBC 6 Music seems to be targeting the #RadioX daytime demographic again, which is odd given that they've got two DJs from #XFM (which turned into Radio X), and plenty from #NTSLive

XFP is the latest recombinant variant to be classified and incredibly it is the third of a recent set of recombinants with identical spike mutations. The earlier ones were XFJ and XFM.

I think of them as the "Doppelgängers". Note this is not an agreed variant nickname, nor should it be. There doesn’t seem to be anything stopping other sets of variants or recombinants from ending up the same way, as multiple Doppelgänger packs.

Also note their non-Spike mutations do vary. But the Spike proteins of SARS-CoV-2 are the focus of much study and explain the success of most variants.

A full on but successful 4 days on the XFM beamline at the Ausgralian Synchrotron. We mixed things up this time by running some tree cores for Casey's PhD work - lots of cool features showing up! We also mapped a bunch of stalagmites, including some pilot data for my next job. 74 elemental maps made, a new record for us!

Spent all afternoon making a super detailed plan for our Synchrotron experiment, which is great, except you just know the plan will deviate almost immediately! I can't imagine the chaos if you didn't go in with some kind of a plan though...

#moxfm is the Motif version of #xfm which itself is "X File Manager". An absolute thing of beauty.
