Hmm, measuring a number of what were empty buckets in the yard, so far storm total here is 5.5 inches. My Ecowitt rain sensor says 3.47 inches. 🤔 #wx #wxstation

I haven't posted a rain update from my weather station in a while. Now that July is over, it's time to do so.
The diagram shows data from my weather station north of Hanover. For the years after 2017, it shows how much total precipitation (vertical axis) has fallen in each year up to a given date (horizontal axis).
2025 is no longer the driest year on record, but it is still very dry.

Ich stelle fest, ich habe länger kein Niederschlagsupdate von meiner Wetterstation gepostet. Nun, da der (halbwegs feuchte) Juli vorbei ist, wird es Zeit.
Das Diagramm zeigt Daten meiner Wetterstation nördlich von Hannover. Für die Jahre ab 2017 ist aufgetragen wieviel Gesamtniederschlag (Hochachse) im jeweiligen Jahr bis zum Tag (Querachse) gefallen ist.
2025 ist nicht mehr das bislang trockenste Jahr, aber immer noch sehr trocken.

Ich habe das monatliche Niederschlagsupdate ganz vergessen. So sieht's Ende November aus. Weiter mehr als im schon sehr feuchten Vorjahr und ein nahezu paralleler Verlauf. Mal sehen, was noch kommt.
I completely forgot to post the monthly precipitation update. This is what it looks like at the end of November. It is still more than in the (already very wet) previous year and the trend is almost parallel. Let's see what's coming…
