@vees The wind vector map is from an open source weather station package called WeeWX https://www.weewx.com . The vector diagram shows a good wind summary to fit within Mastodon limits, but it also has other wind graphs. You are correct that the vector would be hidden for due north/south winds, but the wind rarely stays in one direction here! #weathertools #weewx

Oooh... put a new SDR card (other one apparently was overheating) and a good antenna on my weewx station and it appears I can see someone else's weather station, along with my own! (the only problem is... how do I wire that into Weewx?) #weewx #sdr #rtl433
