The Sunday before last, I was in South Australia and decided to brave the 37C temperatures and visit #GluepotReserve (run by Birdlife Australia). I took the Whistler Walk. The #mallee was beautiful, though most wildlife was sensibly resting. Many #WoodSwallows and #HoneyEaters coming in to water in front of the hide.
It's a beautiful place - I hope to go back and camp there when it's slightly less hot.
Any ideas on what formed the burrow in the photo?

There must be lots of insects in the air today, because somewhere between 50 and 100 Dusky Woodswallows filled the air this morning. They're so agile that I didn't manage an action shot, but at least they stop for a break from time to time.
