The days of action against the arms factory in Wedding are currently taking place.

Let’s get together afterwards and discuss how the women’s strike can also become a weapon of international solidarity!

Week after week, we take to the streets to resist the imperialist wars that are setting the world ablaze and murdering our sisters across the globe.

From Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, Cuba and Iran to Rojava, many of us have already realised that their struggles for liberation are also our own.

We want to learn all this together with you at a workshop with @initiativekaempfenderarbeiter.

Come along and bring your questions!

The workshop will be led by a man, but is primarily aimed at women and non-binary people.

Week after week, we receive new reports of bombs raining down on Palestine, Lebanon and Iran; of oil blockades designed to drive the Cuban population to despair; and of widespread sexual violence in Sudan.

And German weapons and German money are involved everywhere.

The watchword of our times is resistance and international solidarity, but how can we build collective strength beyond demonstrations?

    THE TIME IS RIPE.

For a protest that is as diverse as we are. And as visible as the problems are.

As a strong response to the never-ending wars waged by autocrats who disregard dissent, human rights, international law, freedom of expression and freedom of the press, who deny the climate catastrophe, exploit people and nature, and amass unimaginable wealth.

All this goes hand in hand with increasing threats, impoverishment and discrimination against women* across the board.

It is time for an audible outcry – for a strong ENOUGH! GENUG! BASTA!

ON 9 MARCH 2026, A WOMEN'S STRIKE WILL TAKE PLACE.

Women* around the world will stop their paid and unpaid work to make visible how indispensable they are – and to stand together for equality, dignity, climate protection and a just society.

    WE WILL GATHER......

between 12 noon and 6 p.m. Decentralised and centrally at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.

March 8 is Feminist Fight Day.

We look back on centuries of feminist struggles against the destructive violence of the patriarchal system—together we take to the streets!

In anger, solidarity, and tenderness, we want to come together against isolation and create a place for retreat, togetherness, and networking.

On Sunday (March 8) and Monday (March 9), we will provide food for most of the day; a quiet place to catch your breath before and after the demonstration, to form alliances, or to support each other.

We look forward to seeing you!

Join us for a screening of the film ‘Their Struggle is Our Struggle’ about the militant strike by migrant workers at Pierburg in 1973! 🎥❤️‍🔥

1973 was a year of strikes in Germany – over 300 so-called ‘wildcat strikes’ broke out across the country. This was also the case at the automotive supplier Pierburg in Neuss.

Here, the majority of female and migrant workers were fed up with exploitation by their boss, poor working conditions and lower pay compared to their male colleagues, and organised a five-day strike that would go down in history as a success.

Today, Pierburg GmbH is part of Rheinmetall AG, and a Pierburg factory in Wedding is currently being converted into a weapons production site.

So, then as now, Pierburg not only wants to profit from the general exploitation of workers, but now also wants to profit from the militarisation of Germany!

On 9 March, we women want to down tools and go on strike!

We will not go to work, to university or to school, but take to the streets!

But that is not the only work we women do every day. On 9 March, we will also not cook, clean up after anyone or go shopping. In short, we are striking against reproductive labour.

With the women's strike, we are showing our bosses that we will not stand by and watch as rent and food costs rise year after year, militarisation and war are financed, while our wages remain the same and women's protection is cut back.

With the women's strike, we are also showing our partners, flatmates and families what work we do every day without pay, and we are striking against it.

Come to the open meeting and plan a women's strike with us on 9 March 2026.

Let's show politicians, our bosses and our families that our work holds the world together and our strike will bring it to a halt!

  12. Some time ago I linked to the resolution project of the Icelandic parliament, to give women from the EEA who do not have access to legal abortions in their home countries (effectively, #Malta and #Poland) access to abortion in Iceland.

Well, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Czechia now have similar projects in their parliaments:
    bezuzyteczna.pl/wpisy/szwecja-

In Sweden it's proposed by a government minister:

  13. Icelandic MP's propose a resolution to allow women from other #EEA countries to have abortions in #Iceland, if they don't have access to legal abortions at home:
    grapevine.is/news/2020/11/03/p

This is in the context of recent anti-abortion ruling in #Poland and resulting #WomensStrike protests.

The beauty of it is that cost of the abortions would then be charged against the European healthcare scheme account, meaning Polish government would have to pay for them.
