Cuz of my connections to Haiti (1st visit just after the Duvalier regime fell), I know who the Tontons Macoutes were but as it's been 40 years, maybe people in #Monsterdon didn't get (or hear) the reference.
The 1st wolfen victim (Vanderveer's driver/bodyguard) was a former secret policeman for the dictatorship in Haiti, notorious for snatching, torturing & murdering people in some of the most brutal ways imaginable, terrorizing the country for 30+ years.
