The last cable parts arrived and I put up the last cable passthrough box so the cable routing project is done! I'm very pleased. ^_^
I'd be happier if that last leg hadn't got weird due to RANDOMLY CHANGING RAFTER DIRECTIONS, but one can't have everything, obviously.

why would someone change the direction of joists in one corner of a ceiling and only that corner

anyway, the last leg of the wire channel got stupid because there was literally no reasonable way to attach it where I'd meant to so I had to jog over and do it in bits.
it'll work, it's just stupid and looks kinda dumb. it was going to look so good over here and now it doesn't and I'm disappointed.

also instead of the wedges i considered putting up 2x2 boards where I wanted the gutters to go, then attaching the gutters to that conventionally using standard hardware, and while it would cost more and be more work there would be some definite advantages to that method for strength and it definitely _would never_ sag enough to be a problem even with a heavier load. so if you're running heavier cables then I will be, maybe consider that.
(but don't do it for line voltage, this is low-voltage/DC/signal cable only!)

anyway literally everything combined plus another 10' I haven't put up yet plus tax costs less than three linear feet of the cheapest ceiling wire tray system i could find so if this works out then it is another day of victory for gaz ^_^

The blocks are quite simple, just triangles. The faceplates on the other side of the back gutter wall are used to spread the support area. If they get saggy, I can always replace them.

My little 3D-printed angle blocks keep the gutter rotated so you've got a reasonably deep trough to keep the wires contained.
The next step will be to the left which is why this section is cut into two parts.

i wanted some ceiling mounted wire trays but they work out to $26 a linear foot with all the parts included and you know what isn't $26 a linear foot? vinyl gutters.
