Wipeout fans rejoice! There is another...
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is Wipeout with Burnout's takedowns.
The game's core campaign is rogue-lite, with a one-off try on a series of random tracks, modes and vehicles. Very cleverly implemented, it mixes things up each time and avoids retry-fatigue.
It's also got a huge number of arcade game modes, with an excellent friend leaderboard to keep the asynchronous multiplayer going.
Speaking of multiplayer, that's done well too. Race with 12 racers across six tracks, choosing your upgrades as you place.
Being Star Wars, the story and voice acting are top notch. Graphics and frame rate are all what you'd expect for a Triple A game.
