Already a good bit into A Link To the Past and having a blast with it! It plays real nice and smooth on the GBA. I have discovered the secret technique of bashing my enemies skulls in with pots, it is very satisfying haha.
Also I have been informed, that Wind Waker has a Linkle mod, and oh my god she is adorable. I can't wait to start it soon :cat_sip:.

I replayed half of Windwaker with an emulator and the vibes are still immaculate. The music is still excellent.
The sword fighting controls hold up well too, though those GameCube games did not have the best camera controls. 😅

what i love most about #WindWaker is that Link is not actually "the chosen one," but just a 12-year-old boy with an endless reservoir of courage and a helluva lot of spunk that just happens to look a lot like the fabled Hero. the King of Red Lions even admits this. this 12 yr old gathered the pearls, powered up the Master Sword, and collected the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Courage all by himself, no divine providence required. meaning: you, too, can be a hero, if you put your mind to it.

boy and i started playing #WindWaker (GameCube) last night, and he loves it. i forgot how jaw-droppingly captivating it is. it's like stepping into a storybook, like straight-up playing a cartoon. the island vibes, the solid blue waves washing in and out, the sound of the gulls, it's almost like you can smell the salt water, taste the nasal drip. and Link is so expressive, probably more expressive than in any other #Zelda game.

It's a game I've not played in a number of years, so expect cluelessness and classic 25 year old graphics and gameplay.
I've also added a content warning for all my streams going forward and they are all rated 12A - under 12's should watch accompanied by an adult as there may be occasional swears and I do wear latex and #leather to #stream which many will consider to be fetish wear (I just think it's ace looking street wear, but each to their own eh?!).

CW: How I'd Fix Wind Waker's Plot (Potential Spoilers)
I would've completely cut the intro sequence and let it unfold more organically that it's a flooded Hyrule for one, but I'd also change a few more things.
This might be a really hot take, but I'd cut The King of Red Lions. I'd make it so Tetra is the one guiding you through the first half of the game, albeit in a subtle way that doesn't betray that she's Zelda. I'd make it so she knows the entire time that she's Zelda though and she wants to lead you to Hyrule, which would make it so much more awesome to see that the painting of the royal attendants is actually the pirate crew. I'd put her on her own quest with the pirates to help you out in the second half of the game too, instead of making her a stupid damsel in distress and losing her entire personality as soon as she gets the princess outfit.
I'd also cut all of Tingle translating the Triforce Charts and have Tetra give you the map to the Triforce shards at the start of the second half of the game so you can organically find the Triforce pieces while you're doing the four dungeons in the second half of the game-- since I'd put the two cut dungeons back :blobfoxtableflip:
Honestly, I wish they'd release a Wind Waker redux that put back the Hyrule Field and the transitioning between it and the Great Sea mechanic, but that'd never happen. :blobfoxmeltsob:

More Chuchus!
I initially thought this design wouldn't work and had not gotten past the planning stages in the past, but on Monday I decided to give it another try and can happily report they came out looking great!
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Chuchus!
There are five different color Chuchus in WW, and I made 3 designs in different poses so you can mix and match how you want
Of course the goal was No-AMS, which amazingly worked out well for these, even with the complicated eye pattern

So I got on my computer to work on my notes for what to do in each Wind Waker episode, and... I think the end is closer than I thought if my memory is correct. The benefit of editing is I can speed things up a lot so even if it's a lot of gameplay like when sailing, it's compressed. Oh, I did forget something I just remembered. Probably can fit into one of the other episodes, though.

I think I'm going to have to watch my entire Wind Waker series to figure out the topics I already talked about where it isn't obvious like the Forest Water trick before I can do more videos on that. It's going on so long it's becoming my Superman 64, but I want to get it done before moving on to other games. Whenever I get to having a PeerTube instance, I plan to remaster at least some parts of a few episodes to be slightly better. I think the color correction should stay the same...
