Оно найдет базовую станцию, отлично передаст ваш голос на расстояние, поднимет канал в Интернет и даже заплатит за кофе (с вашего счета, но все же). А теперь спустимся с этим устройством в подземный паркинг торгового центра. Или зайдем в тоннель. Или окажемся в толпе на площади, где сто тысяч человек одновременно решили позвонить домой. Связи может не быть. Потому что ваш оператор не гарантирует вам связь в каждой подворотне вашего города. Зато у охранника на поясе висит коробка размером с пачку печенья. Один канал, полоса двенадцать с половиной килогерц, звук как из ведра. И она работает по всей территории объекта. Более того, охранник нажал кнопку и его услышали сразу восемь человек по всему зданию. Одновременно, без конференц-связи и без интернета. Как так вышло, что аппарат за сто тысяч рублей проигрывает аппарату за десять? Почему рацию до сих пор не выкинули на свалку, хотя ее хоронят с девяностых? Что вообще такое «транкинг» и при чем тут датский математик, лазивший по канализационным люкам? И какие из десятка стандартов актуальны в наши дни? Разбираемся. something I found curious about this photo - not Prince Harry at Court, but the Police Officer behind him, who has a #Motorola MTP3000 #TETRA / #Airwave radio - a cheaper variant without the full keypad.
For last 20 years I've always seen #UK #EmergencyServices using sets with full numeric keypads (they can be used for point to point dialling and in some cases can even directly link to the PSTN).
I wonder if govt are getting fed up with paying Motorola for the more expensive features and rationing the use of these (and also preparing for when Airwave finally gets closed down and #ESN takes over?)

@hikhvar ich weiß jetzt nicht, wie #Tetra aktuell konfiguriert ist, aber theoretisch gab's / gibt's noch nen Rückfall-Modus wodurch du irgendwie noch in TMO funken kannst, wenn die Basisstation ihren Uplink verliert. - Aber keine Ahnung ob du ne neue Basis-Station auch gleich im Rückfall starten lassen kannst.

Anyway, teardown pics. SRP1000. Almost identical to the Simoco SRP01 I have. Very similar to the SRM1000 too. Motorola PHW amplifier. 68k main CPU. ADSP-2183 DSP. Some custom part from Atmel (AT55534). An unknown part from "WM" (I expect this is some sort of I/Q mod/demod).

New one. Simoco SRP1000. Been missing one of these from the collection for a while and saw one come up on eBay. Basically an SRM1000 in an extremely large, heavy but allegedly “handportable” enclosure. Probably not much chance of programming this one but still a nice bit of history to own. Weighs about 700g, apparently 3W Tx. Might have a go at powering it up this evening and do a teardown too. #tetra #hamradio

Als PA (wenn nötig) kommt eigentlich nur ein Class A Verstärker in betracht.
Die 10€ billig PAs aus der Bucht funtionieren auch, das sollte man aber nicht auf einem Hochhaus
aufbauen: da kommt auf den direkten Nachbarkanälen noch zu viel Leistung raus...
Das Projekt (Bluestation) findet man auf Github.
Es gibt mehrere Telegram Kanäle auf denen man auf dem laufenden bleibt.
Aktuell ist man bei Version 0.58x
Aber einbuchen, sprechen, SDS mit Bestätigung, sowohl innerhalb der BTS als auch
übers Netz (Brandmeister, als Hotspot anmelden) funktionieren schon einwandfrei. -

Now that's some properly old trash.
Two Nokia TMR400's with clear firmware, from the first civilian TETRA network ever, the HELENET system of the Helsinki municipal power company.
Strictly 410 - 430 MHz and the devices predate DMO, so they only work in TMO mode with infra.
Until TETRA-BlueStation these were worth essentially nothing to anyone who's not a radio collector.
And even then you could barely give them away.The handset is some UHF band Nokia made MPT1327 radio.

Letztes Wochenende waren wir in #Stuttgart bei der #ASDBW. Die Autorisierte Stelle #Digitalfunk ist zuständig für die Überwachung des Digitalfunknetzes in #BadenWürttemberg, daher war es für uns ein spannend, einen Einblick in die Arbeit zu bekommen.
