@hikhvar ich weiß jetzt nicht, wie #Tetra aktuell konfiguriert ist, aber theoretisch gab's / gibt's noch nen Rückfall-Modus wodurch du irgendwie noch in TMO funken kannst, wenn die Basisstation ihren Uplink verliert. - Aber keine Ahnung ob du ne neue Basis-Station auch gleich im Rückfall starten lassen kannst.

Anyway, teardown pics. SRP1000. Almost identical to the Simoco SRP01 I have. Very similar to the SRM1000 too. Motorola PHW amplifier. 68k main CPU. ADSP-2183 DSP. Some custom part from Atmel (AT55534). An unknown part from "WM" (I expect this is some sort of I/Q mod/demod).

Basically an SRM1000 in an extremely large, heavy but allegedly “handportable” enclosure. Probably not much chance of programming this one but still a nice bit of history to own. Weighs about 700g, apparently 3W Tx. Might have a go at powering it up this evening and do a teardown too. #tetra #hamradio

ca. 1mW kommen aus dem sendefähigen #SDR
Als PA (wenn nötig) kommt eigentlich nur ein Class A Verstärker in betracht.
Die 10€ billig PAs aus der Bucht funtionieren auch, das sollte man aber nicht auf einem Hochhaus
aufbauen: da kommt auf den direkten Nachbarkanälen noch zu viel Leistung raus...
Das Projekt (Bluestation) findet man auf Github.
Es gibt mehrere Telegram Kanäle auf denen man auf dem laufenden bleibt.
Aktuell ist man bei Version 0.58x
Aber einbuchen, sprechen, SDS mit Bestätigung, sowohl innerhalb der BTS als auch
übers Netz (Brandmeister, als Hotspot anmelden) funktionieren schon einwandfrei. -

Strictly 410 - 430 MHz and the devices predate DMO, so they only work in TMO mode with infra.
Until TETRA-BlueStation these were worth essentially nothing to anyone who's not a radio collector.
And even then you could barely give them away.The handset is some UHF band Nokia made MPT1327 radio.

Alright. Here's another #tetra teardown!
Bit of a mystery model this time. I can tell you it's made by Greek company OTE. OTE's TETRA stuff has since been merged into/sold to Selex. Unsure where this device would have been used. Internals indicate it's 380-400MHz band so possibly public safety? I found some discussion on forums of handsets that look like these being used by Gas/Oil firm Gazprom but nothing really definitive.
Either way, this terminal dates around 1999-2001, making it a pretty early TETRA MS. The various
COLLAUDO(Italian - test/inspection/trial) labels kinda indicate this was already in the Selex era.Not a hope in heck for cables or software for this one, so it's a purely ornamental addition to the collection I'm afraid!
On arrival it also showed signs of battery leakage... gloves on for this one :blobfox0_0:

Managed to sneak in some TETRA tinkering today.
Got one of the 25 year old Simoco/Sepura SRM1000s booting, programmed and talking.
Wow, these things are unfriendly to use and implement such a minimal feature set. The programming software is absolute arse, even by 90s standards (but, pleasantly it does still work on Windows 10).
I get the distinct feeling they are software-descendants of some earlier analog Simoco gear that was repurposed to quickly jump on the 90s TETRA hype train.

Back in February I discovered two vulnerabilities in the TMO-100 TETRA data modem from Piciorgros, a Cologne-based manufacturer. Their reaction during carnival season was stellar. Then it took five months for the #KRITIS operator we worked with to install the updates.
