    And before you ask or mention why I shouldn't just use something like #VLC; I know that would work, but I like the idea and experience of using something period-correct like #WinDVD on my tiny XP machine, to really capture that same joy and experience I had in the early 2000s.

    That's what this corner of my desk is all about, after all.

    I can't find much about the original creator or what the "official" source might have been, but I love that this tool exists and can still be downloaded.

    From what I gather it only works under 32-bit Windows, but that's perfect for my needs, as I want to get that real #WinDVD experience under #WindowsXP every now and then.
