Should I make a website "IsTheBubblePopped.com" and we list bubbles likes Cryptocurrency, NFT, AI... and their popped status?

24 hour work week as the normal or maximum work time.

@MarkHoltom Can we make the prosperity part into its own game and become even more popular than the monopoly one?

Utopische Idee:

How hard is it to write a search engine that does nothing but look for specified keywords?
How much space does a search engine index need?

Fantasy audiobook, but every action sequence is also a speed metal song.

What would it take to make a "FediTV" streaming channel, that had a 24/7 schedule of open culture video and the occasional live event?
I'm imagining an Owncast instance combined with a curated library of open culture video;
* lectures on various topic
* cartoons (if those exist with relevant licensing)
* how to segments
* CC-licensed web series
* music videos (preferably by/of fedi-people's music)And ideally some democratic mechanism for deciding the scheduling.

#WildIdea: A mastodon client that doesn't show replies that aren't replied to downthread by the OP or anyone I follow.
If it's not a conversation, and it's not acknowledged by anyone I know of, it's at least 90% likely to be useless noise to me.
-
I want a mastodon client that only shows posts by the hour. New posts are invisible and unavailable until the clock reaches __:00, and then they show up as a finite pile that can be looked through and read.
Conversations don't have to be instant, and there's always other channels and other clients for when that is desired or necessary.How hard is it to make an android app? Can't be that hard, there's so many of them already... :blobfoxthinkanime:

There's something wrong with the way I* interact with social media. There's too few tools to manage the noise, and too much design (intentional or not) that rewards continuous interaction.
And if I were to draw a mindmap of how all these issues and flaws are related, I think we'd find "the timeline" as a concept in the center.
I need something(s) that is NOT a timeline to better browse, discover, and re-find stuff.
(* I write I, but I'm pretty sure it applies broadly)

#WildIdea: a D&D or ttrpg campaign where all the magic items and villains and important stuff are named after lines from Metallica songs.
The big bad is called The Master of Puppets. Other villains are Phantom Lord and the Metal Militia, King Nothing, and Some Kind of Monster.
(Who's attacking the village? It's Some Kind of Monster!!)
There's a horse named The Lightning. It's a regular horse.

Hot take: posts by people I follow and boosts by people I follow should be two different timelines.
(wow, it's been a while since I used those hashtags.. <s>thanks, mental health!</s>)

Instance idea: an instance that closes down after half a year, with a month of advance notice to let people migrate to the next instance that is also planned to close down after half a year, and so on.
To really _feel_ the "digital nomad" lifestyle.
-
ActionRPG where all the monster only drop lutes.
-
Feature idea: Personal per-account CWs of other's posts or boosts.
E.g. i see someone boost un-CW'd climatedoom often, and then I could configure mastodon (or my client) to add a CW of my choosing to any unCWd post boosted by that account. The CW would only be visible to me, possibly marked someway to it'd be clear to me that the CW was added on my end.
It would also allow me to add a "satire" cw to a bot that roleplays as something it isn't (e.g. a corporation).

I wonder if Entity Component Systems (ECS) would be a good fit for a flexible and extensible activitypub server.

What's the smallest usable computer it's possible to build while minimizing:
* Cost of materials
* Toxicity of materials
* Rarity of materials
* Difficulty of manufactureOutsourcing manufacture of components doesn't count.
Usable is hard to define, but a good starting point for a definition in this context is:
Has a use case that applies to a situation that can happen outside a computer. Aka it has to be usable for something that interacts with the physical world. -
Imagine if ASCII (and therefore Unicode) had been designed such that the numbers 0-9 were in the 0x00 - 0x09 bytes.
And then 0x0A continued with A... all the way to Z as byte 0x23.
That would make conversion between small integers and strings a no-op. And hex encoded bytes would be a mask and a bitshift at worst.

What kind of resources would it take to make the an epic mix of LARP, TTRPG and TV/Web Series?
I'm thinking a small team of GMs/directors guiding the story, a main party / ensemble cast that act and improvise in character as they go along, a bunch of extras to play any necessary NPCs, and a mix of cheap visual effects and green screen to make the setting believable.
With a dedicated team, it would be possible to shoot an episode in a day or maybe a weekend, I imagine.

CW: Dream, video game, 1/?
I dreamt I was playing a video game made by someone on the fediverse. A third person 3d platformer inspired by Diablo 2. I was playing an alpha version, and at the start of the game my character was exploring a huge dungeon, and at one point I find a magic item, that unlocks having mana, but picking it up also partially wakes/releases the primary villains, a trio of demons.

I want a programming editor where I can put nice little cute stickers next to the code.
Nothing that pollutes the code, just an extra file somewhere that the editor reads to figure out where to show stickers.
And also, please make said editor a tree editor that works on structured data, rather than a huge everything-is-text-bla-bla-universal-interface mess. I'm too old for syntax errors.
If everything is possible, that also means all mistakes are possible.

CW: Programming language, possibly fictional paradigm?
I want a programming language where a program is defined as a graph of
* values
* calculations (= functions, possibly only the pure kind?)
* I/O?The compiler and/or runtime then figure out how to organize all the calculations and the I/O and how to store/manage the values, so the expected values are calculated when needed.
Does this exist already?
What am I missing to make it work?(Is this just a lisp with weird syntax?)

I want/need a tile- & turn-based 4X game builder like RPG Maker is to the RPG genre.

I'm warming more and more to the idea of building a new format for interactive websites that can replace most if not all of the current http+html+css+javascript stack.
The main design goals would be to avoid sending turing complete code over the network and to disallow arbitrary network requests.

I've had two new #WildIdea|s today.
One is a mix of an idea by Nuhn and an old project of mine; essentially an open world exploration MMO, but each player has their own region that they control and can build in and landscape[verb] (a la animal crossing?). The regions can change/choose who their neighbours are, so I'm not sure how a world map would work.
The other idea is... Gone, dammit. Remembering the first idea made me forget the latest one.

#WildIdea: a turn based multiplayer browser game where each player get one (unordered) turn per round, and a new round starts as soon as all players have used their turn.
Bonus: option of planning future moves, that are executed as soon as a round starts. This could potentially lead to multiple rounds passing in a few minutes, because the "last" player is active.
Bonus: a timeout (e.g. 24h) that plays some default action in games where the group is larger than "a couple of friends"

I want a game like SuperAutoPets where:
* I get to make cool combos of cute characters' abilities
* I don't feel like I'm loosing or loosing slightly later - give me a highscore instead or something
* Something something ecology
* Something something low-violence
