Introducing #FediTV
This is a shared playlist (on YouTube) that anyone can add videos to. I've added every video I've watched to it (except for some US politics videos and some gaming stuff that I thought was boring) for a week.
93 other people have checked it out and about a dozen have added videos and I've liked just about everything they add. It's my new "algorithm" for youTube.

I'm hoping that we will see a #peertube client for #androidTV in 2026. We should be promoting the idea of #FediTV to help people move away from YouTube.
#SmartTV are a really easy target for helping to drive adoption IMHO.

What would it take to make a "FediTV" streaming channel, that had a 24/7 schedule of open culture video and the occasional live event?
I'm imagining an Owncast instance combined with a curated library of open culture video;
* lectures on various topic
* cartoons (if those exist with relevant licensing)
* how to segments
* CC-licensed web series
* music videos (preferably by/of fedi-people's music)And ideally some democratic mechanism for deciding the scheduling.
